Disclosure Wave 5
Today — August 7, 2026 — the Pentagon released its fifth wave of declassified UAP files. Forty-one new records spanning from 1950 to this year, drawn from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department, and the Executive Office of the President. Three months into the PURSUE program and the releases keep coming — and keep escalating in what they contain.
This wave introduces something the previous four did not include in the same way — direct eyewitness accounts from military pilots describing objects that don't just move strangely but appear to respond to human actions. That is a significant development worth paying close attention to.
🔺 A Triangle That Blocked Out the Stars
The Afghanistan triangle account is one of the most striking eyewitness reports in the entire PURSUE archive to date. A military pilot flying over Afghanistan in 2002 encountered an object so large it blocked out the stars above them — a triangular shape against the night sky, massive enough in apparent size to obscure a section of the visible heavens.
Large triangular UAPs have one of the longest and most consistent report histories in the entire UAP record. The Belgian UFO wave of 1989 to 1990 — one of the most thoroughly documented mass sighting events in history — centered on large silent triangles tracked by NATO radar and witnessed by thousands of civilians and military personnel. The Phoenix Lights of 1997 involved a massive triangular formation observed by hundreds of witnesses across Arizona. The Hudson Valley sightings of the 1980s followed similar patterns.
This report from Afghanistan in 2002 now adds a military pilot's firsthand account to that historical record — and it is in the official government archive. No longer rumor or civilian testimony. Official. Declassified. Public.
🔵 Objects That Reacted to Weapons Fire
The cold orbs encounter report may be the most significant piece of evidence in Wave 5 for one specific reason: the objects are described as appearing to react when an aircraft fired its main cannon at them. This is not an object that simply flew away when approached. This is an object that responded — changed behavior in apparent awareness of a weapons system being directed at it.
The report describes multiple objects flying between 250 and 1,300 MPH — a speed range that spans from fast conventional aircraft to hypersonic territory — in different formations, maneuvering aggressively. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office reviewed this case and could not resolve it. It remains an open, unresolved encounter in the official government record.
Objects that demonstrate apparent awareness of military weapons systems represent a qualitatively different category of encounter from objects that simply move in unusual ways. This is worth sitting with carefully.
🇺🇸 A 2026 Encounter Now in the Public Record
The footage captured by a U.S. Government Special Agent in the western United States this year is particularly notable for one simple reason — it happened in 2026. This is not archival material from decades past. This is current. Whatever is being seen and reported has not stopped. Whatever was being documented in 1950 was still being documented last year over the Middle East and this year in the American west.
The PURSUE archive now spans 76 years of documented encounters — from 1950 to the present — with no gap in the record and no indication that whatever is generating these reports has slowed, stopped, or changed its behavior in any fundamental way. It has simply been watched, documented, classified, and now — finally — made public.

🌌 Five Waves In — What We Now Know
Five waves of declassified UAP files in three months. Hundreds of documents, videos, photographs and audio recordings. Encounters spanning from 1947 to 2026. Sources including the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, NASA, State Department, CENTCOM, and the Executive Office of the President.
Some of what has been released resolves to conventional explanations — drones, balloons, sensor artifacts. The Pentagon and AARO have been transparent about that. But a meaningful and growing subset of what has been released does not resolve. The Afghanistan triangle does not resolve. The reactive orbs do not resolve. The Yellow Sea sensor degradation does not resolve. The 2026 Special Agent encounter does not resolve.
The next release is already being prepared. The story is not finished. It has barely started.
